WAVA's Pastor Appreciation Breakfast
WAVA presented our Pastor's Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, May 15th. The purpose of this Pastor's appreciation breakfast was to honor local area pastors and encourage them to keep doing their invaluable work. st and glorious worship from DC Washington. WAVA’s Rich Lee, Don Kroah, Tom Moyer and David Ruleman all welcomed the pastors and expressed thankfulness for their Kingdom-building work. Featured speaker Bob Lepine of Family Life Ministries, co-host of nationally syndicated "Family Life Today" Radio, encouraged pastors to role-model what good marriages looks like in their local churches. "I was honored to be able to serve with WAVA and to have a chance to minister to all who came for this event", said Lepine. Pastor's were given many gifts, including a "Truth For Life" Conference getaway. WAVA's Pastor Appreciation Event was sponsored by Israeli Tourism, Bethany Christian Services, Helbing Lipp Architects, Gospel Rescue Ministries, Life Christian Counseling, Christian's United for Israel and The Westfield's Marriott. More Pastor Appreciation Events are being planned for late Summer and Fall 2009 including WAVA's "Pastor's Masters" golf outing. Manager Tom Moyer greeted listeners and introduced worship with DC Washington and his group "Redeemed by the Savior”. Family Life's Bob Lepine gave a special marriage presentation he calls "Dr. Love." Bob, who has spoken at hundreds of Family Life "Weekend To Remember" marriage conferences over the past 17 years, had the audience intensely tuned into this marriage tune-up presentation. One listener commented "I want to thank WAVA for sponsoring this event – it was great and I think all who attended were enlightened and encouraged." According to WAVA’s Tom Moyer, "Listener's came from all over the area including Baltimore, Southern Maryland, and Northern Virginia to get here,” according to WAVA’s Tom Moyer. “The partnership between Family Life and WAVA has effected many lives, and helped many marriages to thrive."
